City schools eye 45 job cuts

“This is devastating,” Superintendent Terry N. Fralick said. “Children and parents love these programs; there are teachers who have done a fine job, and fewer teachers mean larger class sizes.”
The proposed staff reductions:
- 25 teaching positions.
- 18 teaching assistants.
- 1 cleaner position.
- 1 clerical position.
