NTC lays off 21

The layoffs came from across the board, including administrators, instructors, support staff and those who offer special services to students. The cuts also mean that NTC may not be able to add extra sections of classes, which could lead to longer waiting lists. Some of the layoffs will affect the most needy of students, those who are attending the college’s Alternative High School and juvenile offenders Lincoln Hills School in Irma.
The cut in state aid represents about 10 percent of NTC’s operating budget of about $23 million.
