Twenty-two collectors — 15 full-time and seven part-timers — will be laid off, the Turnpike’s Daniel Castrigano said.
The layoffs follow the Turnpike’s decision to expand the number of all-day automated interchanges from one to five. The closest to Cleveland is the Baumhart interchange exit near Vermillion.
