Ottawa Hospital plans 31 job cuts

Seven management positions are expected to be cut, but the hospital insists the eight nurses and four support workers affected would be reassigned to other departments, resulting in few layoffs.
However, another 11 therapists and technologists, whose skills are so specialized that they are harder to reassign, are likely to find themselves out of work.
The hospital insists the cuts won’t impact patient care.
