SRCTec eliminates 28 jobs

Cicero-based SRCTec cut 28 jobs due a decrease in its manufacturing base.

The company is the for-profit manufacturing subsidiary of SRC, a nonprofit research and development company. Most work at both firms is defense-related.

The companies employ 850 people combined in Central New York.

SRC and SRCTec, together employ more than 1,100 people at 14 locations in Colorado, Maine, Maryland, New York, Ohio, Texas, and Virginia. The firms are headquartered in Cicero and also have an office in Rome.
