T-Shirt International Inc. plans to cut 99 jobs at its plant in Oak Creek.

The layoffs at the facility, 7730 S. Sixth St., are expected to take place beginning on June 11 and will be permanent, according to a filing by the sportswear company with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development on Wednesday.

The department will work with the Milwaukee Area Workforce Investment Board to provide services to affected workers.

The notice didn’t provide a reason for the layoffs and company management couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.
