Zurich is to cut 243 jobs as part of a restructure of its general insurance business.
Most of the affected roles will be from Zurich’s Cardiff office, as it consolidates the Cardiff property claims team with its other property claims team in Whiteley in Hampshire.

The University of New Hampshire may eliminate more than 200 jobs if lawmakers go ahead with proposed budget cuts, a university official said Tuesday.
Dick Cannon, the university’s vice president for finance, said if the state Senate goes along with the House plan to reduce funding for UNH by $30 million, the university may need to cut 7 percent of its workforce through layoffs, early retirement deals and leaving vacancies unfilled.
A £256m Hampshire hospital which opened 18 months ago has cut 700 jobs and shut wards, the BBC has learned.
The Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham was rebuilt using private finance and opened in July 2009.
The hospital, run by Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust, confirmed the job losses and the closure of 100 beds.
