Safe Auto Insurance cuts 47 jobs from its call centers

Safe Auto Insurance Co. is cutting dozens of employees, largely from its calls centers, as it trims costs to adjust to weaker sales and changing customer habits.

The Columbus-based insurer, one of Central Ohio’s largest family-owned businesses, said in a statement that it recently eliminated 47 jobs from offices in Columbus and Woodsfield, Ohio; Hemingway, S.C.; and Somerset, Ky.
